In the 1881 census when they are in Liverpool, the WILLIAMS have an Isabella N THOMPSON, a niece aged 13, born Liverpool, with them - RG11/3595/52/43

There are two other THOMPSONs with second name Nanson marrying in same RD as Janet/Jessie in 1868, a Robert Nanson THOMPSON in 1862, Bessie Nanson THOMPSON in 1870. A Robert marries again in 1873.

On 25 Dec 1854 at Liverpool All Saints, a George Nanson THOMPSON married a Ellen FINLEY. He was a Plumber aged 22 and his father was George THOMPSON a slater.

This might be the THOMPSONs in 1851 at 43 Carlton St, Everton. Father George is a slater, and son George is a zinc worker. HO107/2189/438/52
