Looking for John Austin

I am looking for the birth of John Austin born c1817 in Llanwenarth (?).  John married Maria Pugh in 1853. The couple lived at 12 Mount pleasant, Blaina.  John Austin died sometime between 1871-1874 in Hughsovka, Ukraine.  Can anyone take me one step back, I think John Austin's parents could be Thomas & Mary Austin.

I had a quick look at the marriages in Llanwenarth, but didn't see any sign. You can check yourself on the same link. Have you looked for them on the census?
