WW1 Soldier - Unknown...?

I have a photograph of a WW1 soldier in a gold locket, he was engaged to my relative in Wroughton Wiltshire, but unfortunately there is no identifying information. I appreciate this is a long shot, but Is there any hope of identification?

Have you thought about contacting the local newspaper to see if they might publish it with a short letter asking if anyone can identify him?
