Cambridgeshire marriage look-up please.
« on: Tuesday 04 October 11 11:35 BST (UK) »
Hi,

I have a Smith Parish/Parrish born 1792 Caldecote Cambridgeshire who married an Ann ? born c1794.

I have been trying to find a marriage for Smith but haven't had much luck.

Smith and Ann had 7 children all born in Caldecote, I have found baptisms for 6 of the children but their first child Jane I can't find a baptism for.

Jane was born c1817 Caldecote Cambridgeshire, on the 1851 census she gives her birth place as Kingston Cambridgeshire.

I would like to find Smith and Ann's marriage so that I can find out what Ann's surname was. Unfortunately, their last child was born 1833 so I can't send for a birth cert to find her surname.

Any help or information would be truly appreciated.

Kelly

Hi Pauline,

According to the census Ann gives her birth place as Ireland, without knowing her surname I can't find any more information.  :(

Hi Pauline,

I have tried to find Jane's birth, but can't seem to find it.

I have looked on familysearch for Jane born in Caldecote and Kingston and I can't find anything, I've also tried freereg and CFHS.

Hi Pauline,

Yes, I have John, James and Robert. The baptisms I have found for Smith and Ann's children are:

John 1819 Caldecote
James 1821 Caldecote
Robert 1824 Caldecote
Caroline 1827 Caldecote
Sarah 1830 Caldecote
Mark 1833 Caldecote

I can't find anything for Jane.

What sort of era would this be? (to closest decade- or list known offspring)
