Grave number: 74269
Image number: 12776
First name on the monument: Louisa Beveridge

Name on the monument  Mary Anne Hazell BEVERIDGE

Cemetery name: Dean 2h

Cemetery location:  Edinburgh, Lothian, Scotland

From that list posted earlier. I have sent off for the image, though their calculated dates don't fit.

But it is possible that "our" Marriane was called after her.

Children I have are:-

Erskine b 1875
Amelia B b 1877
Alexander W b 1879
Elizabeth M b 1881
Marianne Hazel b 1882

I thought there could be another, possibly Frances, which would make

The eldest son is not on this list, I found him on a marriage notice in the Times, Capt. H, as the son of  late AWB, Maj-Sgn 78th. Same address as for the daughters marriage.  Just tracking him down....He married a Marjorie Shuttleworth of Sailsbury in August 1918. Marjories father is given as J Shuttleworh Rendell  JP, so her surname may be the full lot. PM

later...saw you figured henry in earlier posts, anyway, he did marry.....

No obit, so I think he did, George. I found a potential only son and daughter, son died at 19, dau married, to a Major H Beveridge in Sailsbury. I can't link them directly, though. Henry and Marjorie got married in the Hague, according to the press cutting.

This one is really tricky!

Just a thought - could Hazel be "Hazell" - Scots surname?
See she is down as Maryanna in the 1901 Census...unles its a transcription error....
