Date/restore please

I was recently sent scans of a few family photos including this one "on metal".  Having read some of the threads on tintypes etc, I understand they were in use for quite a long time, so I'm hoping this one would be consistent with a date somewhere in the 1890s.  If it's the family I believe, the mother was born in 1852, the son in early 1882 and the daughter late 1889.

And any restoration you could do would be greatly appreciated!

Hard to see details of the lady's dress but it looks as if it has the sleeving typical of the mid 1890s. Mid 90s would be a good estimate.

And as tintypes were developed directly on the metal sheet, the image is reversed.

Thanks for the date confirmation and the restorations - given the quality of the original they're really great, and it's definitely who I wanted it to be!  The likeness to a couple of other photos I have is much clearer now, so this is the only photo the family has unearthed so far which shows my grandfather and his sister together as children.

I must admit I find it weird that gt-gran has a smaller hat than her daughter, though!
