Mold, Pantymwyn
« on: Sunday 09 October 11 13:12 BST (UK) »
My mother remembers spending summer holidays in Pantymwyn, with 'Aunt Winnie', her grandmother's sister, in the late 1920's early 1930's. I think she was Holywell born in 1868 as Gwennea Jones.

This is a 'shot in the dark' with so little information, but in the hope that someone might have knowledge of Gwen/Gwennea/Wennea, that lived there at that time.

Any information gratefully received.

Hi Wendy,

Thanks for that, I have that Census,  Mary Ann is my great grandmother, and I'm guessing that Wennea is the 'Aunt Winnie'  ("grandma's sister")  that my mother stayed with in Pantymwyn - it is her, and possible family, that I'm trying to locate.

I know that searching for 'Jones' in Holywell and North Wales is like the proverbial needle in the haystack - I just wish I had this interest years ago, when I lived closer.

Thanks again for your time and interest, it is appreciated and hopefully will get the ball rolling.

Kind regards
Philip
