1861 & 1871 Census Look up please - Completed

Hi,

I am currently helping someone with their family tree which may or may not prove to be connected to my own.

I would be grateful if someone might be able to find the following family in the 1861 and 1871 census. (I have them in the 1881 so far)

Head Francis Warner born c1833
Wife Mary A Warner born c1837 (Leicester)

Children might include but not limited to

Sarah A Warner born c1857
William Warner born  c1861
Tom Warner born c1863
John Warner born c1869
Joseph Warner born c1871

As far as I know these are all born in Leicester. I have an 1858 marriage for a Francis Warner and a Mary Ann Selby but it might not be the right one as some evidense seems to exist that suggests they might have been cousins and Mary Ann was a Mary Ann Warner prior to her marriage. Mary Ann is also known to have been in the St Pancras area of London for a period around 1858 and to have also travelled to Germany (Berlin) around 1857.

Hi and thanks for this information. I see a new previously unknown child being Fanny. Thank you very much.

Would it be possible for someone to find Mary Ann in the 1851 census? This would help make sure I am following the right family.

I am told she was in service with a family named Hewitt so she might turn up with them or at home or maybe somewhere else in 1851. The Hewitt's appear to be quite wealthy and, as previously mentioned, travelled at least to Germany and London, so I am not sure if they were even in Leicester.

I think this points very much to this being the wrong family of Warner's. This is very very useful information. I think I need to go back a couple of steps and review the information that lead to thinking this might be the right family and find where I went wrong.
