Living Relative...
« on: Tuesday 11 October 11 17:42 BST (UK) »

Hi...
I'm looking for a living relative who is in my wife's family tree.
Now I understand the sensitivity of asking for help on this subject and I've tried 192.com, ukphonebook.com...was able to get an address and have written but no reply so my last resort is this avenue.  I am looking for a phone number.
So...a little bit of information, hoping some one would like to help me, they would have to contact me via PM.....for the pertinent info.
The area is Colchester, Essex.
Hoping for some help on this ....thank you
Dave....BC Canada

Dave ... sorry, but you'd better click 'modify' and remove your email !!   We aren't allowed to put emails on Rootschat ... or we'll get spammed !

Ask for someone to contact you via the PM system (the little green scroll under your avatar) ...maybe someone in Colcehester can help.

Good luck with your search ...

Hi Dave

As Lydart says you can remove your e-mail by modifying. Click the modify button next to the original post, this will bring up your message. Delete the bit about e-mail and perhaps say to contact you via a PM. Press save under the message and that will do it.

Good luck in your search.

Jan

Dave

Very few of us are in the phone book nowadays, too many spam phone calls,so we choose to go ex directory.
Also the phone book only relates to those people who have BT( British Telecom) as their provider.

If the people you seek are fairly young or have younger rellies, have you tried Facebook and other social networking sites?

Or maybe even Friends (and Genes) Reunited?

A letter to their local paper may bear fruit ,there are lots of family's being reunited and newspapers always love a good story.

Hope you get lucky with one of those suggestions.

Carol
