Now I understand your telephone system.......They are in their mid 50's...but ..
I haven't tried facebook....I have tried Genes Reunited...

Even those of us in our (late) 50's can manage Facebook 
In fact I'm on it but my youngest son is not

Don't give up on the phone book - I have managed to find two living relatives for two different people using the phone book.

I used a paper version of the phone book and got my hands on a book that was a about 2008-9

I used facebook to look for a 75 year old - I searched for any children he had had and then searched for them instead, that worked

Thanks for the advise....If I had access to BT phone books that might help and this couple doesn't have any children....so ....back to square one

Hi Carol..
Thanks for the link.....I have not tried that site before.....What I meant was having access to paper phone books, although ancestry have some access to phone directories but only up to 1984
