The 1881 census shows William b 1853 Birkswell Warwickshire occ tailor
Emma was b 1851 Crick Northampton - not Leamington Warwickshire

1881 also shows an 8mth old son Jonathan William who died Northants 1882

Have you seen this entry?

In 1901 they are living in Ecclesall Bierlow Yorkshire - no additional children - only daughter Emma is with them

They are mis-transcribed as Bownds and William is Wilmer

Wilmer / William Bounds  born 1856 warwickshire

If you use the free 1911 index you will find him as Willmer Bounds living in the IOM

there is an index to IoM burials at www.iomfhs.im
a William Bounds age 72 buried Dbc(Douglas Borough Cem) 19290106
The parish is Braddan not Brandon
there is an Emma Bounds bur Dbc 19170415 age 66 + a further 3 Bounds in 1950's who could be children ?
he appears once in Examiner Annual for 1918 events of 1917:
march 15th.— Mr W. Bounds, charged under the Defence of the Realm Act, with having made a false statement at a public meeting in Douglas, in regard to the purchase of potatoes by the Insular Government, was fined 40s.

Many thanks to you both for the quick responce to my query, I have been able to clarify my query regarding Mabel Bounds she married Wilmer after his 1st wife died. She was according to the 1911 census a friend of the family helping out in the house hold. The other fact that I did not know was the birth and loss of his son Jonathan. I have not been able to find any marriage's for his 2 daughters ther fore they remained single. I was intrigued to read the piece about his charge under the Defence of the Realm Act I would love to know more.
 Once again many many thanks.
