Looking to find anything about this family.

Thomas and Martha Ayris had children John 22/4/1787
Jane 4/4/1790. Thomas 5/2/1792 Mary 26/4/1794 Martha 22/7/1800 and Mercy 25/12/1802

Quite possibly Thomas' father was a John Ayris.

Looking for Martha's maiden name and a marriage date and anything either side really.

I could find no marriage for Thomas im afraid...

I ave also found this burial at Marcham which may explain the 2 Marys..

Baptisms on this cd go up to 1801, Marriages to 1754 and Burials to 1804.

Have worked out that Jane Ayris married William Hobbs but no marriage date found at Marcham. Would Garford records be also recorded at Marcham? Hyjean

Hello Hyjean,

Without wishing to confuse the issue, I found this marriage the other day but did nothing with it because of the  "wrong" name;

18-9-1758 William HOBBS to Jane ADAMS  in Kintbury St.Mary  No other details.

This is taken from the Berks Marriage Index on CD (ex BFHS)

Kintbury is some way from Marcham which adjoins Garford and others.
