I see your John Married Susan Tullett in 1880 and appears with her in 1881 and is down as born c 1858, Banstead, Hampshire, Occp Blacksmith.
1901 he is born c 1851, Leavesden Green, Hertfordshire

So your John is the one who Married Susan Tullett?
Do you have the Marriage Cert?
I notice William in the 1901 is down as "feeble minded"
Maybe he was confused when giving info to the Census enumerator!

There is a Priscilla Amy Potter Death 1862 in Lambeth.

Hopefully someone else can help here as I am off to bed

EDIT John changes POB and DOB between 1881/1901 Census

1891 they are under ROTTER, Susan born c 1862, Croydon, and John born c 1860, Brasted, Kent
Son William from 1901 Census is there as well born c 1886.
