Does it have a pin on the back Kath because the lady in the photo appears to be wearing it as a brooch.

Carol, Masonic - I know nothing, so will accept probably not - only thought of it as I googled the retailer - Spencer, London and the top result was headed "Masonic - Online shop", but didn't look anything like! just planted a seed of an idea.
It is in fact a pendant, it has a small loop at the top, you can see it on the photo, but I did think with all that other neckwear it could be a pendant on a short chain.  Hall marks are for Birmingham, possibly 1860 - but the date letter is badly rubbed.  Makers I can't identify.

You might like to ask on the Military Board Kath as it just may have a Yorkshire Regiment connection...Other than that...I can't help.
You could always take it to a Jewelers for and opinion.
It's a lovley thing to have.
