Plantation Street, East Hetton, Coxhoe
« on: Sunday 16 October 11 22:18 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help me find - Plantation Street, East Hetton, Coxhoe (1891)

I have tried the http://gis.durham.gov.uk/website/interMAP/viewer.htm  website, and can find Plantation Bank - but it looks like fields rather than a street.
From what I understand all of East Hetton has not been cleared down.

Thanks for any help.

Can you give the census details so that the description of the enumeration can be looked to to pinpoint the location

Hi  :)

I have 210 Plantation Street as RG12/4103/91/36  to 223 Plantation Street as RG12/41003/92/38

What number were you wanting?

autonm wants to be able to find the location on a map, I assume he already has the address he wants.

He mentioned 1891 so I thought that I would give him the approx area - he can then look at adjacent streets.

I am after the street on a map location. I do have the census information at home (I am at work  :( )

I will send through the particular census info if that helps later. But all I am after really is a screenshot of a map of the street.

Thanks

If its any help, the streets close by are Smokey Row, then Plantation Row, leading into Plantation Street, then Cross Row.

Can you locate any of those?

Looking at http://www.old-maps.co.uk/maps.html of East Hetton there are no street names on the 1888 map, they are shown on the 1897 map, but Plantation Street is not shown.

Well, I've looked at both the Durham GIS and Old Maps and don't see it or any of the other streets showing :(

Added - the Durham GIS 1919 map has some street names but I can't read them on my laptop.
