To open Raogk,
clisk the little green "hyphen" AFTER the name.

I can't see the  box I clicked on in Raogk.
I see it is blue and says NEW
Then, It doesn't disappear.
But, I see you have gotten ROAGK is open.
Have fun.

I can't get the site to open. Vbain, if you clear your cache when you have the site open does the site still stay open for you or do you get a "site can't be found" message?

I posted the following on the other thread but thought it was worth repeating here for those enquiring.

Hi Everyone,

It is such sad news about Bridgett - she will be sadly missed and did such a great service to the genealogy community with RAOGK alongside her husband Doc and all the volunteer staff.

HERE is another blog entry by Dick Eastman in tribute to Bridgett, HERE is a link to her obituary and a guestbook that her daughter Beth arranged and HERE is a listing on findagrave.com that another RAOGK volunteer kindly set up.

For anyone looking for a volunteer or for any volunteers wondering what is happening and how to keep RAOGK going at the moment there has been a reorganisation on Facebook as a stopgap measure.  There are now 3 Facebook groups - the original RAOGK group, a new group set up for American volunteers and those searching for volunteers across the States and a second new group for International volunteers and those searching for help with international queries.  Here are the links to all three for anyone who is looking for them:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/33868082803/
https://www.facebook.com/groups/raogkUSA/
https://www.facebook.com/groups/raogkinternational/

I'm sure we can keep Bridgett's vision alive there for the time being until Doc is able to bring the original site back - for right now though all my thoughts are with him and his family.

Regards,

Michelle

Just to let everyone know, the RAOGK wiki is a workaround for the RAOGK site being down.
    http://raogk.wikia.com
(Wiki is new to most everyone so, think of a website like using/reading a PDF file [read only] ... and a wiki is like getting a [editable] Word doc.]

There are two ways to activate a link on the wiki ...
1.  Click the Wiki Admin link (raogk_mcowan @ yahoo.com) on any page ... send your name, country/province/state , email address, and description of services
2.  "Do-it-yourself" with instructions on the wiki

The wiki has been up 4.5 months (since Mar 2012) and has about 375 volunteers ... averaging about 80 volunteers/mo.
Each volunteer who returns helps make the wiki one person stronger toward the 4,000 original volunteers on the old site.

Check the wiki out ... and consider re-volunteering until RAOGK is back up.
