It would be wonderful to hear about all the celebrations for the 60th Anniversary this weekend May 7- 9 - could somebody let the rest of us know what happened .... even pictures ............ maybe !!

Watch this space Annie,
I am very luck to have received an  invitation to be in Liberation Square on Monday when The Queen and Philip will be there to  celebrate the day.Also present will be Terry Waite who is going to make an address so I am really looking forward to it.There will be an a re-enactment of hanging out the flag on The Pomme Dor Hotel which is well known and a service of thankgiving.
Surviving members of Force 135  the  first liberating serbvice men to enter the island are marching tomorrow through the town so that will be lovely to see.

A 1940s dance at The Town Hall tonight, plenty of decorations around the island and a huge fireworks display to look forward to.Lots happening this weekend  and I will let you know all abouit it.

Just to let you know I'm looking at pictures of the Queen in Guernsey on the BBC News on the computer !!!! The sun is shining..!! I'm waiting for pictures of Jersey now.!!
