Born and raised in Seghill.
His Father was a coal miner, named Herbert Ford, born 1888? in North Shields.
Married Mary Rendel, or Rendell.
They had eight children I believe....many whom left the area and started familes in London, and Tenby, Wales.

James Robert Ford's birth reg gives mother's maiden name as Rendles

There are 4 children's birth reg in Tynemouth reg district with mother's name Rendles
There are also 3 children 's births reg Plymouth district mother's maiden name Rendles

I will give the reg dates but not names in case some are still living

Mar qtr 1914 Tynemouth

Sept qtr 1918 Plymouth
Dec qtr 1919 Tynemouth
Dec 1921 Plymouth
Mar qtr 1923 Tynemouth

I wonder if the plymouth reg children were from a different couple???

Hello Suzard, 2zpool & Kinsey

Thank you for the time and effort you've taken on my enquiry you are ALL kind souls and the info looks interesting.  I think my next step is to order a marriage cert for Robert Ford and Grace in order to confirm the names of their fathers and thus link it to the inf you've given me.

At the risk of this being a stupid question from me, is there a connection between "my" Fords and those of wilsonhepple ( his James Robert & Herbert etc).

Suzard, you wouldn't have any details/info about Peter Ford & Jane's marriage. Your info about them in 1861 with a 16 year old son ROBERT would to me look promising for a marriage 1840 - 1845, unless i've missed something.

Many  thanks to those who have helped me to date and i'd welcome any further help/info which can be given in the future.
