To Suzard,

I am sorry i haven't replied earlier, private matters would not allow. Thank-you for your last post,  it does look promising and i will now have to ask the elderly relatives in the North East if they have any knowledge or or suspicions about these names being in or linked to the family.
Children are often introduced to people and told that the elderly person in front of them is a cousin, aunt, or uncle on one side of the family or other but but how far back that link is, is never explained to the child so the actual relationship is not understood. So as you grow up you know that there is some one who is related to the family but you don't quite know how.
Any way thanks for your help to date.

To other "posters" I wish to thank you also for your time and effort, it is appreciated

Hi!

I can confirm that Peter Ford married Jane Henderson 15 January 1844 in Tynemouth (marriage certificate).
They had 8 children:
William
Ruth
Robert
Peter
Mary
Jane
James
Archibold

And yes, Charlotte Carr was Peter's sister. She married John Carr on 7 July 1838 in Tynemouth. Charlotte and Peter also had another brother, Alexander.

Robert married Grace Cole in 1866. Robert died at a young age and Grace remarried Nicolas Sylar.
Roberts' brother Peter is my great-great grandfather.

Regards,
Vianne

Vianne,

Thank you for your post it is very interesting and would appear that we are "cousins".
Peter & Robert would appear to both have great great grand children.

I’ve just started doing my family tree on my mams side (Hardy)I’ve got info but unfortunately no individual pictures on -
Robert Cole Henderson

He worked for Cowpen coal company before joining the military in December 1914 - the Tyneside Scottish (Northumberland Fusiliers) he was posted to 21st Battalion and commenced training at Alnwick in 1915.
He gained rank of company sergeant major he was also awarded D.C.M - for his bravery at the battle of Arras on 9th April 1917 .
He died 17/10/18

He received medal / watch from the king and a picture is somewhere !!??

Would be grateful if anyone could help me .
