Marriage in India

I'm wondering if anyone can give me some ideas of where to start to find a marriage which I believe took place in India, my Great Uncle Edward Rayner married Rose Anna ?No surname known  she I believe was there working for an army family as nursemaid. He was in the 21st lancers which puts him in India between 1893 - 1898, the only clue to a surname was in his will which includes his wife's sister surname Draper that of course could have been her married name but a start I guess, Any help would be most appreciated.

Did they have any children? If so, who/when/where?
Otherwise, can you tell us when/where Edward died, and anything else you know about Rose (do you have her on any censuses, did they return to the UK, etc).

Jacoby, If you are in easy travelling distance there are many records of British India at the British Library, St. Pancras London.

Hi, Im in Canada so no access to the British Library,
No they had no children, They did indeed go back to England and I think lived in London probably around 1909-1915 (just guessing from other bits I have been told)  if I had a surname would be in with a chance of a birth record. Think she was born in Wales. I remember her as an elderly lady if only I had asked more questions !! Edward died in Leigh on sea England Oct 1936.

try this marriage edward albert rayner wed rose anna williams jan - march 1902reg dist brecknock  , brecknockshire  ( wales )  vol 11b page 119 .
also was this edward in the 1891 census  as a private in the 21st hussars age 19 reg dist canterbury .
