Gravestone lookup Walton on Thames
« on: Thursday 27 October 11 04:52 BST (UK) »
My great great grandfather passed away in 1855 and is buried in the graveyard of St. Mary's Anglican Church, Walton.  His wife Sarah, daughter Sarah and son George are also buried there, although they all passed away before him.  Would it be possible to find out, firstly, if they are buried in the same grave, and secondly if there is a headstone with inscriptions on it?  Thanks

Hello ColTree

You could try the gravestone photographic resource site for St Mary's, Walton on Thames.
It seems a great site

Good morning Powderpuff.
Thanks for the follow-up.  Have had a look at the "site" and, yes it is very good, unfortunately it didn't help me.
Once again, thanks.

That's a shame, I was hopeful for you.

Elmbridge Council cemetery team may be worth contacting. They may be able to put you in the right direction.

Hi

Taken from the guide to Surrey burials at the top of the Surrey Rootschat boards

'West Surrey Family History Society has published transcripts of church registers and monumental inscriptions (including some cemeteries) and offer searches in their monumental inscriptions index.

MONUMENTAL INSCRIPTION search http://www.wsfhs.org/services.htm  and MICROFICHES of monumental inscriptions published by the society.   http://www.wsfhs.org/MicroFicheMI.htm'

The West Surrey list includes St Mary's churchyard Walton on Thames.

Regards

Valda
