Janet Meikle born about 1840 at Alloa, Clackmannan.
Is it possible to find exact birth date?

Her brother John was born abt. 1838 and Thomas born July 1842.
Parents: David Meikle born abt 1778 at Linlithgow, died before 1861
Mother Agnes Dick born about 1780 at Earlstone, Berwick, East Lothian

Oops - true parents were Thomas Meikle and Catherine nee Bachope.
 
I think their first born child was: Archibald  or John (b. about 1839) but unsure as he stayed on in Scotland.

Janet Meilke (Great-grandma) came to NZ with her father, Thomas (his parents: David & Agnes nee Dick), mother Catherine and brother Thomas who was 18 yrs., born July 5, 1845 on the 'Queen of the North' in 1845. Much appreciated for any help.

I have tried to see the 1841CEN website but is not free for me - need 1 credit!  Thanks for the hint though.

Thomas and Catharine nee Bachop were married 22 December 1835 in Airth, Stirling but is know that the children were born at Alloa! Born maybe ?
