Tried Sp , doesn't come up with a birth only 1881 census.    :-\

Here are the  three references:

1889 - Horace Hugh Liddle Liddell, Moulin, Perthshire. He is the one who is John's nephew.

Then there are two possibles for the Harry who is down as son:

1884 - Harry Liddle, Leith South, Midlothian

1886 - Harry Liddle, Leith South, Midlothian

The second one of these looks more like Harry (he was 4 in 1891)

I got these three birth registrations  from the Scotlands People site, so not sure what you're doing wrong.

Very sorry - just checked  - it was spelled Liddell - I always do Soundex or Surname  variants or wildcards - never the 'exact' version.
