PAF advice please
« on: Sunday 08 May 05 14:30 BST (UK) »
I have my data on an AFT file but cannot access it.  I think because I replaced my hard drive and went from Windows 95 to XP, and at the same time when I downloaded the Ancestry Family Tree program it was a new version and my disk with my data wouldn't read.  I'm now thinking of moving everything to a new program.  I have PAF installed but I want to know what anyone thinks of that program before I retype.  I would purchase a different program if it was better.
Thanks

Hi Dianne

Try this link for some info http://landing.ancestry.com/family_trees/family_tree_maker_free.aspx general prog question 6 re Paf and AFT. and Tech Q 5.  PAF is Ok as a free download which I used to convert to gedcom.  I use Family Tree Maker 10.  It will import gedcom files no problem and merge them with yours if you wish.  Very powerful.  Check it out.

Hope this helps
