Just found this thread sorry so late.  I worked weekends and school holidays there in the sixties. It left a profound effect on me.  I also went to school in the fifties with some of the children.  But they were moved to a Bristol home at about ten.  Memories, quite a few!

Hi to all just registered with roots, after searching for information on Node House.
I come from a large family (seven sisters and four brothers). Not all of us was placed at Nore House. But I think 4 of us was. I know that I was there between 1956 / 7 . Aged 18 months
Are nanny who looked after all my brother and sisters was nanny Tricia. When we left at five years the family was split up into twos and went into various care homes.

I would be interested in any photos or information relating to Nore House and nanny Tricia

Have read your message ,I was a nurse at Nore House but much later in 1960s not sure if I remember Trisha I think her "family group " was called Treetops ,she was a married nurse and lived in Portishead and came in daily ( if it's the same person) I have a photo of the house it's not there now as it was demolished in the 70s and a housing estate built in the grounds.
