Overton, FLintshire
« on: Sunday 08 May 05 15:50 BST (UK) »
Can anyone help with the 1851 or 1841 census for
Flintshire.
Thomas Evison 1823
George Evison 1831 and
Joseph Evison 1827

Have found these three via censuses etc and would like to see if they are brothers
All born in Overton, Flintshire  and if there are any other brothers and sisters and also parents names would be great.

With perhaps local knowledge,I would suggest Joseph's Birthplace to be Dudleston, which is between Overton and Ellesmere.

Thanks William, as I'm sure you know some of them can be very difficult to read.

This is great information.  I believe that Thomas my direct ancestor was a brother to Joseph and now find William and Mary are also same family.   I can now move back to next generation to Joseph and Ann.

Thanks very much

There is listed on the LDS Site the Christening of a Joseph "Eveson" in Dudleston Shropshire on the 28th of May 1780,the son of John and Mary "Eveson".

You will be particularly interested in this information.  Perhaps
you will recall emails via GenesReunited and Laura about the Woodhall/Evison connection.  This is how far I have progress back from Maria and William !!!

Although you are correct in that I previously have thought that there was a connection via Griffiths/Woodhall/Evison.Following a recheck of my link to these Families,an Ellis Griffiths, and after viewing his Gravestone at Rhosymedre Churchyard,I am now unsure as to whether I had the correct Ellis Griffiths. The Gravestone states that he was 76 years old when he died in 1962.After viewing the 1901 Census there is another Ellis Griffiths who was born in 1886,the son of a Richard Griffiths of Llangollen, and living in the Cefn Mawr area.Until I make contact with this Family,I have to remain unsure.
