Clinch
« on: Friday 04 November 11 06:47 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I am researching a branch on my wife’s side of the family tree with the family name of Clinch.  Five brothers were police constables in South Wales.  Michael Clinch, born c.1873, in Camolin, Wexford, Ireland, joined the Glamorgan County Police Force in 1894.  Edward, born 1866, Wexford joined the force in 1894 and John born 1880, Wexford followed his brothers by joining in 1899.  I would appreciate help locating any details on the 1901 census.
Kind Regards, Roy

Hello  :)

Glamorgan Record Office have the Glamorgan Constabulary records where you may be able to get information on the Clinch brothers.

When researching my OH's GG Uncle, a Carmarthen Copper, I discovered that Carmarthen RO have old duty books, which are fascinating.

Kind regards
Morgan
