There is a death index in March quarter 1847, Woburn RD ref 6/100 of Sophia Pentelow. Woburn RD includes Toddington. However the NBI does not record this. Deano have you sent off for the death certificate ? Have you checked the burials in the parish records? Have you checked the Toddington MI's available from Beds FHS.

I think she is the one aged 60 found in Toddingon in 1841, living with James & Sophia Smith, & we know that a James Smith of Olney married Sophia Pentalow at Higham Ferrers in 1834 & that Sophia Smith b 1810 Higham Ferrers is on 1851 census. Have you been to Beds Archives to see will of James Smith, baker of Toddington ref 1848/4

Where/When is the other location of the other whoever ?
Can you be more specific rather than just generic/cryptic ?

The eagle as landed........
Its all making perfect sense now.

But where is the evidence of the birth of daughter Sophia born around 1811 at Higham Ferrers and bear in mind please Mr John Pentelow was still living in 1811 in fact his burial was recorded at nearby Yelden on the 25th of Aug 1813 aged 43

I take it you refer to the location of the other Sophia Pentelow born at Ashton near Oundle Northants in 1811 ?

You work quick on things as I've on just picked up on this latest info between you and Sandy mate.

Or perhaps you refer to the location on the census where James and Sophia Smith (senior) were found living in 1841?

Little Addington Northants
Which is about 5 miles North-East of Higham Ferrers

Just had another check on 1841 census of Little Addington Northants and I confess Sandy is right its a Samuel Smith not James (the handwriting is terrible)
