William Main/ Janet Wadell, 1749

I have some conflicting information about this couple and I'm hoping someone might be able to help sort things out. In My research, I have William, b. 1722, as the son of David Main and Beatrix Richie; he married Janet Waddell, 1749, New Monkland. I also have information that William, b. 1707 to John Main/ Marion Wotherspoon, married Janet, 1749. The only information on Janet is that she was born about 1728, Ballochry (?Balochney?); no parents were noted. Any help would be appreciated.

Better leaving in in Lanarkshire as that is where the places of birth are
