Edward Wilson was born at Reading in 1805, died 1880 in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. His wife was Sarah (Webb) born abt 1805 and also died in 1880 in Newcastle, NSW, Australia. I am trying to find when Edward and Sarah married and when they travelled to Australia.

There is a tree on Ancestry showing an Edward Wilson b 1805 White Waltham, Berkshire and dying 1880 in Newcastle NSW with wife Sarah.   This couple are on the 1851 census in Westbury on Severn, Gloucestershire.   I assume this who you are trying to trace ??

Thank you all so much for providing that information. That solved one unknown and now I will try to find when they left the UK for Australia. The search goes on.

I am also related to Edward & Sarah, I have visited their grave and made contact with several distant Wilson descendants.
I've done a fair bit of research and I'm sure I have information on when they left Berkshire and arrived in Australia. They're not the only ones to come over either.

There is a Facebook group called Descendants of Edward Wilson (1805-1880).
