I can't find an entry on the Lincs 1851 or any other 1851 showing that profile

There are 4 entries for that name on the Criminal registers in Lincs.  Only one shows a birthyear - 1809

5.4.1841 b 1809 - larceny - Not guilty

April 1829 - larceny - Not guilty

3.4.1835 - riot ( several others charged with same offence) Guilty - all are shown as discharged on own sureties to appear ?? - presumably some future date

20.10.1854 - larceny - 6mths

JOHN Brackenbury was on the 1851 census at Spalding Prison (House of Correction) Ref. HO 107/2096, line 2.
I'm afraid that I do not understand the rest of your response!

Ref. HO 107/2096, line 2

The full reference is  Piece 2096 Folio 562 Page 70 and he is indexed as Brakenbury as per the image - I have now notified a correction to help in future searches

The info in my reply above is from online Criminal register info for Lincs for the name John Brackenbury and I then gave you details of the date/crime/sentence

The 1851 shows him as b 1819 Pinchbeck but incorrectly shows London

The original census says "Lincoln, Pinchbeck". I assume that you have seen a transcript, which must have errors (London instead of Lincoln). This often happens!!

Thanks for your interest!!

I look at both which is how I noticed the transcript was incorrect.  I have notified amendments to both name and birthplace
