Hi not being from Berkshire, I did an address search of Shallow Corner on the 1891 Census, and looking at the original to the left of Shallow Corner was Harmoor and to its right Norcot, does this make sense!

Somewhere around the McIlroy Park area.  There is a Norcot Road (named after the farm and brick kiln there) and Armour Hill (presumably Harmoor!) in the area.

Hi. Thank you both for the info.  Yes I do know Harmoor (Armour), Norcot and McIlroy Park area.  At least now I have some idea of where Shallow COrner was!
