Hi
Yes sorry im confusing it...I was looking at his original West Ridings Battalion not his KOYLI
148 Trench Mortar Battalion was part of the 49th West Riding Div and 5th KOYLI were in the same brigade

Full confirmation would come from the Medal Rolls themselves that arent online but held at Kew...Its not that important as you know the unit he was with when Killed.

Do you know the location of Wild Boar Street? My ancestors lived at No. 3 Wild Boar street for 20 years between 1851 and 1871. thanks. Ian

That is very kind of you. I am trying to locate Sunnybank Terrace and Laister (or Layster) Dyke Old Mill Road, both Bradford.
The line of Wild Boar Street seems to be where that track runs through the trees.

For shame Scrimnet, long time ago but your use of the derogatory nickname for the Royal Regiment is unworthy of you!

The role of the Royal Regiment of Artillery on the battlefield is to bring dignity to what would otherwise be an ugly brawl.

It is with great difficulty I share with you that in the early hours of 07 August 2021, Maximilian passed away unexpectedly but peacefully.

With deep sadness,
