You may have some luck with the Cheshire Parish Register Project but there seems to be a problem with their website at the moment

http://www.csc.liv.ac.uk/~cprdb/

I'ts back now - do you know William's occupation?  He's shown as a husbandman on the wedding record...

Thank you very much !! :D

When you say actual certificate, what exactly do you mean ?
I thought that this would have been recorded in parish records only..

I found mention of the reverend William Fish here http://books.google.com.au/books?id=9cIvAAAAYAAJ&pg=PA88&lpg=PA88&dq=william+fish+chester&source=bl&ots=VKpwUsRPum&sig=WvaZn0epcP29G4cP8kFmb-WiZBs&hl=en&ei=czLMTpDyM6iriAfn2LXhDg&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=3&ved=0CCsQ6AEwAg#v=onepage&q=william%20fish%20chester&f=false

Sorry I meant the Register.

Gosh that History of Chester is fascinating isn't it.  I got a shock seeing one of my name-sake being executed for rape with two other men.  I hope he wasn't one of my ancestors!  Another snippet which was really interesting was the Duke of Monmouth visited Dunham Massey the village I was born.  I'd love to get hold of that book.

Kind regards
Su

Yes It is, and the fact that you want to get hold of it justifies Google digitizing it for profit.... :D

It is amazing what you can now find out there...

I am trying to track down Tithe information for Gresforsd & Newspaper info for John Dodd's accident in 1808 as it may contain more information linking Ann Dodd to my ancestor William Halliwell aka Holywell
