Hello, I've just seen that your Grandfather was a Thomas. My Nan was Irene Warlow - her mother was Caroline Thomas and my Nan said that she was also related to Jimmy Wilde. I don't have much information on Caroline Thomas's side of he family but wonder if they are related?

Hi there I'm another one who is supposedly related to Jimmy Wilde.
My maternal grandmother Margaret Edge ( nee Bracegirdle) 1900 - 1967 stated that she was related to Jimmy.
Margaret's parents were James Bracegirdle and Sophia Wild ( 1857 - 1926).
Sophia's parents were William Wild (c1820 - 1886 ) and Mary Sheldon.
I have not been able to pin down William's birth ( supposedly in Macclesfield Cheshire).
In 1841 census living in Macclesfield were Nancy Wilde age 70 / Sarah Wilde age 40 and William Wilde age 20. Sarah and William were Silk Weavers. In later census there seems to be a link to Salford.
I've done some research on Jimmy but can't see any obvious connections.
Does any of the above ring bells for anyone?
