My grandfather is Cyril Herbert Paine b 16 Apr 1903 at Sevenoaks. He transferred from the RN to the RAN in the 1930s. And that's where our mob come in. My father is Edward Albert Paine b 16 Jun 1938. I'm Ian Michael Paine 11 Apr 1964.

I had a decent ancestry.com tree going but got stuck after a few bum steers.. and then didn't renew the subscription.

Ah, interesting. Haven’t done much on the Australia side.

My great grandfather is Raymond W Paine, Cyril’s brother.
