Hi

We need a bit more information

How old was he when he died?
Who and where did he marry?
Where were his children born ?

As much information you can give, the better.

GRO Death index gives his age at death as 90.
So birth around 1876.

But bear in mind that the age on the death certificate is only as good as the informant's knowledge! ;D

Isn't the date of marriage reg to Gwendoline Lewis 1952???

Which would make james c.76 yrs old on 2nd marriage???

There is this death reg
Gwyndolyn Lawson
born 28 April 1910
death reg Sept qtr 1989
age 79
Mansfield
8 204

So if the marriage/death reg's are the  correct ones Gwendoline/Gwyndolen would be c. 42 when she married James
