William Arthur Millard no info before or after marriage!

Hi,

He certainly is a puzzle.  The nearest birth I can find is a Willie A Milliard born 1878 in the sub district of Newton, Manchester on www.lancashirebmd.org.uk . 
Freebmd has him as Willie Arthur Milliard, March Quarter 1878 Prestwich Volume 8d page 377.

I keep looking at the WW1 pension record for a William Arthur Millard (he signs Milliard) born 1885    Miles Platting - mother Mary of Fletcher Street, Newton Heath - he says he isn`t married but he is a Carter 
There doesn`t appear to be a relevant birth for this one either.

I suspect mother Mary born Canterbury, Kent remarries a David O Hewitt in 1896, Prestwich.  Her maiden name would appear to be White.  She can be found on the 1901 census as Hewitt in Harpurhey and she is also on the 1911 census using the free index.

I'm doing some research for a friend at work regarding William Arthur Millard and have very much hit a brick wall.
He married Lettice Ferguson on 16th May 1906 and had certainly one daughter Annie Millard shortly after.
After that though or even before that I cannot locate anything for him on any census or anything regarding death or birth.
His father on the marriage certificate is blank and he was aged 28 and his job was a carter but other than this nothing..... 
Can anyone assist in any way?

I hope you've found out more about William Arthur Millard as this may be my gt. granddad.  Lettice Millard/Wood (nee Ferguson) who I believe is my gt. grandmother.  My granddad was George Millard, her son.  If you have any more information I'd really appreciate it.

Hi, William Arthur Millard was my grt grandfather. He was born 1882 and died in Flanders France in 1918 during WWI He was married to Lettice Ferguson, my grt grandmother who later married Frank Wood. William and Lettice had Annie, Ellen and possibly James . The other children were with Frank Wood after Arthur was killed.
Arthurs Parents were William John Millard and Amelia Brown. He later married Ellen Brewster.
I have more info if required.
