4th Cameron Highlanders

Interested in Edward Tucker, photographed in full 4th Cameron Highlanders unfirom.  Born 1866 St Pancras.  Date and Place of birth not known.  Lived in Iverness.

Bickley  -STAFFORDSHIRE
Thompson - Paisley, SCOTLAND

errata - re Edward Tucker - should read place and date of death not known.

searched service / pension records - boer war records and even medal roll for ww1 [ just in case ! ] and he doesn,t show in any of them, not in cameron highlanders .

I actually have no idea.  There is a photo of this man inscribed on back "4th Cameron Highlanders".

Hi everyone.  In the photo, Edward Tucker (if it is indeed him) is wearing a Khaki jacket with a kilt and a small tartan scottish cap.   I will obtain a scan of the photo from the owner in a couple of days and I will attach it as you may recognise the uniform.

if you get a scan of the pic ask the owner if they can get a good close up of any cap badge or epaulettes or even buttons as well as  a general overview of this character as it,s easier for those in the know .

Looks circa Great War....If he never served overseas he wont have a medal index card

(2/4th Cameron Highlanders just had Home Service)

His age may have stopped him been sent overseas however he wasnt pensioned out hes not on the Silver War Badge rolls,
