CHANNELKIRK-Memorial inscriptions.

I am looking for memorial inscriptions for Thomas and Alexander DODDS/DODS and Elizabeth WHITEHEAD in Channelkirk and Justicehall, prior to approx. 1815 or any burial details.

I would also love to hear from anyone who may have these names on their family tree. At least one branch of the Dodds/Dods family moved to Midlothian in the latter part of the 18c and from there to New Zealand in 1860.

Only one Dodds and no Whitehead in Channelkirk pre 1855
The Dodds is Euphemia died 1877 married to Andrew Lees, tenant in Mounthall.
Looked in Earlston, Lauder and Legerwood but they are not there either.  Probably means they didn't have a stone or it is unreadable.

I see Nigel Hardie of Selkirk Genealogy has transcribed the Channelkirk deaths from 1730 to 1841. Might be worth checking if he has any Dods and then worth buying a copy if he has?

We use his books in the archives at Borders Family History Society where I volunteer in the summer and they are very good but sometimes you don't get much information and sometimes you do - just what is in the parish records.
