Hello,
Several of you helped me in June with a look up of the 1851 census, regarding Rachel Stanley my ggg grandmother.
I noticed on the 1841 census there is a Mary Hood (Rachel's mothers maiden name). I have searched for her but cannot find any info. on her.
Could anyone please look up the 1841 census and tell me what relation Mary was to Ann.

The 1841 census does not give relationships

It gives name, age rounded down if over 15, sometimes occupation, and a Y or N for whether born in county that they are resident in.

No it does not have any relationships at all.  Where is the Mary Hood you are looking for living, how old is she?

Sorry, I did 't reply to your question properly.

Mary Hood was 12 at the time of the 1841 census, living at Witacre, Waltham, Kent.
She was living with Thomas and Ann (Hood maiden name) and their family. Rachel aged 7 is my
ggg grandmother.

Mary Hood is in the household of Thomas Gillham (40) and his wife Ann (30) in 1841
living Witacre, Waltham, Kent
The Gillham children are
Hannah 8
Rachel 7
Henry 6
Charlotte 5
Susan 3

Mary Hood age 12
all bn in county

As it looks as though Thomas Gillham married Ann Hood 2nd AUG 1830   Lyminge, Kent Mary could well be Ann's child.

I thought the same.  Can't find a birth for Mary Hood 1829, but will keep searching.
