I found a Alexander Robertson (b. 1773) married a Jane Spence (1781) but the supposed child was born in 1825, so they had him when they where 44 and 52. I dont think this sounds right, especially in the early 1800s..... :-\

Hello. I'm sure this is too late, as the conversation ended a few years ago, but I thought I'd ask anyway. Did you happen to find nah more info on the people you were looking at? I've been on the trail of these very same people...Alexander Robertson and Jane Spence. I'm pretty sure I'm related to them. If you are too....well, that's very interesting to say the least. If you get this let me know you're there. Thanks...Jim

Hi Jim

Welcome to RootsChat  :)

Maybe post on the Banff, Scotland board here www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?board=89.0 if you want to follow up on Alexander Robertson and Jane Spence. There are children showing as born to them in Grange or Aberlour, Banff from 1802 up to 1829 (poor Jean is all I will say  :-X).
