Margarets age is a bit out from 1861 census with Richard Summers, but she's born right place, right fathers name, and she has a possible son Henry of the right age.

I see on the 51 census that Margaret Smith is down as un married but she appears to have more than one illegitimate child one of whome is Henry.

This is why your Henry has given his father as Richard Summers although his name on the marriage is Henry Smith.

So you do have the correct marriage.   Anyone else agree with me

Agreed. The Henry, son of James, born Howick c 1838 is not the right one for marrying Margaret Elliott in 1862. He is married to Clarissa in 1871 census, with in laws named Routlege and Milburn, as spotted by Michael.

His marriage is on Familysearch. 5 Mar 1870, Newcastle St.Andrew. Henry Smith, bachelor, age 32, son of James Smith, and Clara Routledge, widow, age 31, daughter of Thomas Millbourne.

In 1861, the other Henry Smith is a Servant at :

Shilvington West Houses,
Henry Smith, Servant, unm, 23, Carter, b. Bothal

Shilvington is about 5 miles from Thorneyford where Henry was living when he married Margaret in 1862, so on name, age and geography, he's the closest match, even without the probable connection to Richard Summers.

And looking again at the marriage of Richard Summers and Margaret Smith 17 Dec 1851, on Familysearch, Margaret is "of Hepscott". Same place as Margaret and 13 year old Henry in 1851 census, so I think that clinches it. Both are down as single. The marriage cert might give their ages as well.
