I have found an unproven link in a baptism record for a Samuel Ren son of Samuel & Jane Ren of Wolford. Will look out more details for you and get back in contact.

I'm guessing your ancestor was the Mary who married Thomas Mathews.

Many thanks Chris.  Yes, Mary Ren/Renn/Wren married Thomas Matthews and I am their 3x Great Grandaughter.  I don't live in the area but have been there.  Actually I live in Canada now.

I would certainly appreciate any information you can help me with as it's a little difficult from here!  Also, from looking at other peoples family trees, they have a Mary Parsons marrying Thomas Matthews and the family tree following that line, but according to my research their children were born after they both passed away!

Thank you, sounds like these could be Samuel's family as the names, Samuel and Jane are used again in the family.

I looked at Wolford on Google Earth and it isn't too far from Barton so more of a probability than a possibility.

Yes, I do have access to the Barton History group webiste thank you.
