hi hope you can help on this one have exhausted all avenues known to me ,does marraige certs hold info on grooms parents or place of birth,? trying to track birth place of james dewar who married jane brown 29th april 1816 in maker. have tried census etc but so far only recorded as scotland but im looking to narrow it down to at least a county can anyone help pleeeease  :-*
looking to confirm that the family i have for him is the correct one

definately not St Germans have looked at baptim & marriage index
