Great Budworth and St Sepulchre confusion
« on: Saturday 31 December 11 17:22 GMT (UK) »
Hi,  according to the IGA, I have an ancestor (Isaac Sands) baptised at St Sepulchre, London on 17 August 1733 but with an address of Great Budworth Cheshire.  I can find no evidence of a connection with Great Budworth - could this be an error?

Hi,

Just had a look on the Family Search site and it says residence London  St Sep. 20th aug 1733 to Stephen & Elizabeth Sands - can't see another entry

Thanks for looking! I get two entries, the one you saw and one that shows the same name, parents and date but it gives residence at Great Budworth.  If I enter Isaac Sands, 1733, England but do not tick the boxes for an exact match the Great Budworth entry come up...

Hi,

Yes I can see that one as well - can't see any suitable Sands in the Cheshire parish records

Do you think it an error?  If the Parish Record shows nothing is there any way of checking the St Sepulchre records?  Or is there a way of asking for clarification from IGA?  Any help much appreciated!

Hi everyone, just replying to this post as I'm still looking for an answer.  I thought I'd make a new post to place it up the board again in case anyone can help...

1pds - apparently Ancestry has the images for the St Sepulchre registers of this period, so if you can access these (eg via your library) or someone can look at them for you it would identify whether Great Budworth was on  the original or whether it is an error that has crept in on transcription.
