thomas parratt of Shillington

I am trying to verify the birth date and parents of Thomas Parratt born I believe about 1780 at Shillington. Hoping that someone is able to assist.
The only correct information I have about Thomas Parratt is that he married Ann Rowney 16 April 1808 at Stevenage. I amnot sure however that he came from there I believe he may have come from Bedfordshire

The IGI has an extracted entry from parish registers of baptism at Shillington of Thomas  PERATT on 20 Mar 1780 to Thomas & Sarah Peratt

Looking at the Allen Marriage Index at https://www.hertsdirect.org/ufs/ufsmain?ebz=1_1325408258578, both were of the parish of Stevenage.

He doesn't appear to have been buried at Shillington so he can't be ruled out as being the Thomas who married in Stevenage. But there's a Thomas Parratt age 38 buried at Stevenage on 12 Mar 1826, which if it's your Thomas puts his birth c1888.

With Thomas being otp on marriage and his age at burial being 8 years adrift I'm far from convinced that he was the Thomas from Shillington. The only good things going for it are the name's the same and Shillington is but 10 miles from Stevenage
