I see Alexander married Frances Salmon under the name King 1873. (FreeBMD)
This makes me very sceptical that Isaac Spurr was his Father.

Familysearch has the Marriage as 29 Oct 1853, Saint Andrew, Althorne, Essex
But no other details.
