Hoxne Baptisms
« on: Saturday 07 January 12 20:17 GMT (UK) »
Would anyone be able to look up a baptism in Hoxne of Henry/Henry Charles Byham b 1907 son of Henry Charles Byham & Mary. I need to confirm his parents.

Hi

Unsure if this is helpful as they are separate events, since most of the Byham's appear to be in Sudbury & Acton Acton areas, it looks more than a coincidence:

June Q, 1907 Henry Charles Byham, Hoxne, reg birth. V. 4a, P.1010 (Free BMD)
In 1911 he is seen in Sudbury.

June Q, 1906 Henry Charles Byham & Martha Esther Woodgate, Hoxne, mar. V. 4a, P. 1759 (Free BMD)

Geoff

Thanks for that, Geoff.  1911 census has him b Laxfield. So I am wondering if there is more than one Henry.
Not sure how Hoxne & Laxfield works village/county wise.
Wondering if anyone can access Church records as the parish register is still in use.........

Thanks again C

Currently the SRO are only selling PR microfiche to 1901 so you may have to wait for sks to look for you when they visit the SRO because I believe you can access later records there :(

Ipswich records office have informed me that they hold Hoxne & Laxfield parish records but, Baptisms 1906 onwards are still in current use & retained in the parish. So if anyone is visiting Hoxne.................

It is Henry Cbarles Byham b 1906/7 Hoxne  Parents Henry Charles Byham & Esther Martha ????

Maybe married in Dartford in 1933 to Ethel M Woodgate.  Just need to have confirmation I have the right.

Thank you ...........Copper :)
