Hi Lottee 

Although this is scanned at 300dpi, I think you've saved it with a lot of jpg compression. This is shown as the blocky bits that are all over the image.  It's harder to restore this way and you'd get a better restore if there was no compression.

When you do a save as a jpg file , save as 'best quality'. Usually, there is a slider bar in the jpg save dialogue.

It's amazing.  I had another facial image from the same photograph with no problem at all, got a good result from Irene, but this one
